If you are a Recruiter / Interviewer

Welcome. Yes, you found the F1 couch-potato engineering lab. No, the cars on screen are not stealing company time — mostly. If this page feels like a side quest, you’re in the right place: I build serious software and still leave room for a meme.

Formally: I’m Deep Hiren Kotecha, an M.S. Computer Science & Engineering student at Pennsylvania State University (University Park). Before grad school I spent two years as an SDE II at Bajaj FinServ Health Limited in Pune, shipping micro-frontends, payments, design systems, and health-tech products used at scale.

I care about front-end architecture, resilient full-stack systems, and tools that make complex data feel obvious. If you’re here for a hire / chat, start with the education and work sections below — then ping me at deep.kotecha2024@gmail.com or deephirenkotecha.dev.

Education

Same exam for everyone? Cute cartoon. Different story when the “tree” is distributed systems, UI architecture, and a research paper curiosity about privacy-preserving ML and microfrontend architecture.

M.S. Computer Science & Engineering — Pennsylvania State University, University Park · Aug 2025 – Present · GPA 3.5 / 4.0.

B.Tech Computer Science & Engineering — Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore · Aug 2019 – June 2023 · GPA 8.3 / 10.0.

Work Experience

SDE II — Bajaj FinServ Health Limited, Pune · July 2023 – July 2025 (2 years).

Shipped micro-frontend architectures that improved disaster recovery and cut deployment congestion by ~68%. Co-built an org-wide payment gateway interface (~99% transaction success) and a design language system that cut later page-build time by ~53%.

Led a 4-person team on an AI health-risk assessment that reads lab + lifestyle data and visualises at-risk organs on a 3D model (~70% early-issue identification). Expanded Health-pay with a UPI QR journey so users could use insurance cashless at compliant providers.

Earlier: Associate SDE Intern at BFHL (Oct 2022 – June 2023) on Health-pay cashless OPD claims, then converted to full-time as SDE I. Before that, Product Development Intern at Code to Enhance Learning (Sep–Dec 2021), coordinating with the JPMorgan Chase Code for Good team on an education portal for underprivileged kids.
